Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Brown construction paper
  • Green construction paper
  • Red pom poms
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Marker or pencil

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Trace the hand and arm

Lay your child’s arm and hand flat on a sheet of brown construction paper. Use a pencil or marker to trace the shape. This will become the trunk and branches of the apple tree.

Step 2: Cut out the tree trunk

Carefully cut along the traced outline. You’ll now have a piece that looks like a tree with hand-shaped branches.

Step 3: Create the treetop

Cut a large cloud-like shape from green construction paper. This will be the leafy part of the apple tree.

Step 4: Assemble the tree

Glue the handprint trunk to the bottom of the green treetop. Make sure the fingers stick up into the tree to represent the branches.

Step 5: Add the apples

Glue red pom poms onto the green paper to represent apples. You can space them out evenly or let your child decide where to place them.

Let the glue dry completely before displaying your tree.

A Craft Full of Creativity and Love
