Supplies You’ll Need

- Paintbrushes
- Pom poms or puff balls (green works great)
- Googly eyes
- Craft glue or hot glue (with adult supervision)
- Scissors
How to Make an Egg Carton Turtle Craft
Step 1: Cut & Shape the Shells
Cut out individual egg cups from your egg carton and trim the edges to create a smooth, rounded turtle shell.
Step 2: Paint Your Turtle
Use acrylic paint to color each shell. Greens and browns work well, but kids can get creative with blues, purples, or even rainbow turtles.
Step 3: Let Them Dry & Add Details
Once dry, add dots, swirls, or patterns with a different color to give each turtle a unique look.
Step 4: Build the Turtle Body
Glue a pom pom to the front for the head and smaller pom poms for the legs. You can also use bits of felt or paper for flippers.
Step 5: Add the Eyes
Stick on googly eyes to bring your turtle to life.
