Perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and young kids, this craft makes a great classroom project, family bonding activity, or Easter decoration.

What You’ll Need:

  • White paper
  • Washable paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Pink marker

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Paint the Hand

Choose your paint color. Traditional white keeps it bunny-themed, but pastels work beautifully too. Use a brush to apply an even coat of paint to your child’s hand.

2. Make the Print

Press the painted hand firmly onto the white paper. Be sure to get a clean print with visible fingers and palm. Let it dry completely before moving on.

3. Cut the Shape

Once dry, carefully cut around the handprint, leaving about a one-centimeter border. This makes the shape stand out and adds stability.

4. Trim the Pinky

To shape it into a bunny, snip off the pinky finger from the handprint. This creates two “ears” and a rounder body.

5. Draw the Face

Using a black marker, add eyes, a little nose, and a sweet smile to your bunny. You can draw simple dots or get creative with eyelashes and whiskers.

6. Add Details

With a pink marker, color in the cheeks and add feet or inner ear detail if you’d like. Let your child personalize it with extra flair.

A Craft Worth Saving

This Easter bunny handprint makes a great card topper, wall art, or keepsake. It’s also a wonderful way to work on fine motor skills and sensory exploration in a fun and seasonal way.
